People will always need plates

I love these modernist mugs and plates from People will always need plates, that was a mouthful for sure. The 1930s styled illustrations are a great quirky choice from Hannah Dipper and Robin Farquhar.

Great mugs. Hey, this is rather late notice, and you may know about it already, but Vida is running a mug design compo - closing date Friday!. Check out the latest issue of Obrigado to see more (there's a pic of Paul riding his bike in there too!)

These gave me a shock because they look just like a modern version of Waterford's sadly discontinued "Grand Tour" collection. My parents have the set of demitasses and it's a similar idea - pastel backgrounds with black and white prints of famous buildings in Europe.
I totally love this cool new "version" with high rises.
