Contemplate this.
I love these plates available from Bouf. The little people roaming the vast expanse of the plates is so interesting and even though they are so plain you find yourself looking at them for longer than normal. via notcot.

Oh, those are awesome. I'd take those plates over ones with bright, bold graphics anyday. Great find!
i think its because of the human figures that appear as if they are walking upright on the plate. the effect of the shadow =)
