just thought it was important to point out to your readers that your favorite blog banner is a blatant and clumsy rip of Stefan Sagmeister's poster for Neenah Paper, which can be seen here:

Yeah I did see that, There are a lot of banners out there that use other peoples artwork. Its unfortunate.

and how do you know i haven't got permission from Stefan?
i don't. so you are right, this is what some people would call a 'clumsy rip' i call it recycling. i took an image i liked, i made it how i wanted it and then used it. it states, a little to the left and a little below the header, quite clearly that im willing to remove material people arent comfortable with.
i'm not making money from that image.
